Rachel Towner is a professional musician and session bassist based in the Midlands, UK. Specialising in live session work, Rachel has been playing professionally since age 18, specialising in both electric and upright bass. Rachel has played on a number of UK tours, supporting artists such as Electric Six, Lovejoy, James Marriott, Emma Blackery, and playing festivals such as Y Not (Main Stage, opening for Snow Patrol and The Kooks), Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul (Second stage, opening for Maribou State), and more… 

Alongside playing professionally, Rachel studied BMus Popular Music Performance (principal study bass guitar) where she graduated with First Class Honours, and has since began her masters degree in Jazz Performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
